NTC SIM Transfer Facility Now Available Nationwide

Kathmandu: Nepal Telecom has introduced a nationwide facility that allows GSM prepaid SIM users to update or transfer their SIM registration details (KYC) online. The company announced that this service will be available through all its offices across the country starting 22 Magh, marking the occasion of its 22nd anniversary.

Previously, the service was launched as a trial from the Telecommunications Office Sundhara starting on 22 Poush. Following the successful testing phase, the facility has now been expanded so customers across Nepal can benefit from it.

Online KYC Update From Home
With the new system, customers whose SIM cards are not registered in their own name or those who want to correct their personal details can begin the update process online from home.

To update their information, users need to visit the official Nepal Telecom portal and enter their details. During login, an OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the respective mobile number for verification.

Additional Security Measures
Along with personal details, customers are also required to provide five frequently dialed mobile numbers. This step helps ensure the security and authenticity of the SIM ownership verification process.

Final Verification Required
After filling out the required information and uploading necessary documents online, customers must visit the nearest Nepal Telecom office or customer service center for final verification.

Once the submitted details and documents are verified by the telecom system, the SIM card registration will be updated accordingly.

This initiative aims to make SIM ownership verification easier, more secure, and accessible for customers across Nepal.
